Day 6 - With this ring...

I struggled today trying to decide what to shoot.  Troy said, just take pictures of anything.  I started in the laundry room, then took some pictures of the dogs, and some signs on the lanai.  Nothing seemed creative or had that certain charm.  All of the sudden, I remember this awesome bowl I bought at TJ Maxx  Home Goods for Christmas.  So, I played wedding photographer!!!!

and they lived happily ever after!
good night & sweet dreams!

Day 5 - Add some flare to your day....

I had tons of fun with my shoot today.  My niece, Abby, and her best friend Bella (who happens to be one of my 3rd graders!) stayed with me for a little while after school.  There is an awesome tree near our cafeteria, so I thought I'd take advantage of having these two cuties and sunlight too!!!!  Let's just say, these divas enjoyed themselves as much as I did!

and...the sun flare makes its second appearance.  Attempt number 2!!!  Still a work in progress...there were about 8 images that turned out completely WHITE!!!!

I LOVE that Abby flashed a huge smile right away.
She just got braces yesterday and she had no problem showing them off!!!

 Goofy girls!
 hmm...need I say more.

 what the heck Abby?

I didn't even ask them to get in the tree....I turned away to change my lens, and when I turned around, this was the first thing I saw....be careful girls!!!

 beauties!

One day I'm gonna get this right.

 hehehehehe!

 what in the world?

My poor Bella was uncomfortable, but you'd never know it.

 Love this one!

 :)

 Goofballs!

 A little better....I think.

Now, it's time to enjoy some time with my new hubby and head to bed.  Have a good night!  :)

Day 4 - 59th Street Boat Ramp

I've been thinking about how cool it would be to spend my days taking pictures.  I was frustrated yesterday because the sun was pretty much gone by the time I got home.  I went to bed with thoughts of what it would be like to not have a "day job" and wondering how possible a career change would be....

Then, I went to school and fell completely back in love with my students!!!!  They light up my days and I truly enjoy the quirkiness of 3rd graders.  My kiddos continue to amaze me each day and I'm blessed to love my job as much as I do.

I'll keep dreaming of a second career in photography, and maybe I'll end up with a fun side job after all of this practice!

On with today's pics...Troy and I went to the Boiler Room for dinner, then drove out to the 59th Street Boat Ramp in hopes of something to photograph.  I can tell it is going to be a challenge in itself just for me to decide what to take pictures of each day; hopefully I'll get the swing of it!

Munchy did not want to go in her crate before we left.  She played hide and go seek under the couch!

 Sweet, sweet baby!

Daddy tricked her with a treat and she finally came out.

Now, to simply enjoy the scenery....

I wonder what I'll find to photograph tomorrow?  Have a good night!  :)

Day 3 - Sun Flare....Attempt Number 1

So I gave myself a challenge...to capture sun flare.  My lovely wedding photographer Teresa gave me some tips, and I did TONS of research online.  I ran home today from school with 2 of my favorite subjects, Adam and Abby, so I could catch the sun before it went down.  ;)

My backyard would have been ideal, but the sun was already too low.  So, I had to settle for the front of the house.  Not the best location, cars and power lines from every angle!   I got some sun flare, a little too much!  Oh well, I'll keep this challenge going...after all, this is The 365 Project right?  This is only day 3.  Sun flare will make its appearance again soon I'm sure of it!

Not the best, but a work in progress.  Enjoy!

My Bubby was not cooperative today...can you tell?
One day I'd like to get some "real" pictures of him; or is this real?
What a mess!!!
